CaseWare IDEA and Audimation Services, Inc. Announce 2nd North America IDEA User Conference
HOUSTON - March 10, 2010 – CaseWare IDEA and its U.S. distributor partner, Audimation Services, Inc., today announced the conference program and presenters for the 2nd North America IDEA User Conference scheduled for October 5 – 6, 2010 at The Woodlands Resort near Houston. The conference theme is “Making an Impact with IDEA,” and is a follow-on to the successful inaugural conference held in 2008.
Attendees may select from 24 concurrent sessions, suited to their experience level. Presentations include information about new trends in fraud detection and investigation, application of IDEA® – Data Analysis Software’s functionality, data acquisition, data analysis and audit standards. Keynote speaker Toby Bishop, Deloitte LLP, will present, “Enhancing Corporate Resiliency: Using CAATs Strategically to Detect Fraud and Corruption.” Dr. Lynford Graham will lead pre- and post-conference workshops, and co-present, “Sampling with IDEA –Beyond the Mechanics.”
Other program highlights include presentations from CaseWare IDEA’s product manager, Alain Soublière, and a wrap-up session from Chuck Manganiello, AuditSense LLC, designed to help participants maximize the benefits of attending the conference. Attendees can also see the newest IDEA product, SymSure for IDEA, a continuous auditing and monitoring solution developed to meet the demand for improved risk management across all business lines. Presenters were selected from the IDEA user community representing public accounting, internal audit, government audit and academics.
Experienced IDEA users will demonstrate how to get the most out of IDEA and its key components. Session topics include healthcare, manufacturing inventories, journal entry tests, payroll, credit cards, contract reviews, fraud, sampling, information systems general controls and continuous auditing. The conference will feature general sessions and three break-out tracks with the potential to earn up to 22 CPE hours.
