Outstanding 2010 tax issues for GoSystem exports have been addressed in the latest GoSystem Tax RS release

GoSystem Tax RS developers have informed us that both outstanding issues have been addressed in update 10.00.56.28.

1. The new tax codes added for the 2010 tax year will now display in the GoSystem Tax RS software after import.
   
2. Forms 8825 are now supported in the GoSystem 10.00.56.28 update.

Clients who wish to export to GoSystem Tax® RS need to be aware of two known issues that currently exist in the GoSystem Tax RS release version:

1. The new tax codes added for the 2010 tax year are included in the Working Papers export, however they are not displayed in the GoSystem Tax RS software after import. See below for a listing of the tax codes affected.
2. Forms 8825 are supported by the Working Papers export but are not yet accessible in GoSystem Tax RS.
   

CaseWare International has communicated the problems to GoSystem Tax RS developers and has been informed they are working on a fix for issue 1, which is expected to be addressed in the next GoSystem Tax RS release scheduled for January 21. No release date has been confirmed for issue 2.

Anticipating the fix by GoSystem Tax RS developers, the export capabilities for GoSystem Tax RS have been included in the January 7 US 2010 Tax Year update.
